My father has been a proud member of the workforce for most of his adult life. A self-professed late bloomer, he didn’t settle into his current profession until he was 37.
He is part of the baby boom generation and, like all boomers, he is staring down retirement. But with a down economy and under-developed retirement nest egg, my father is not sure when he can retire. One thing he is sure about, however, is flying in a glider after he retires.
